Young social media users and the protection of personal data. Workshop design for children and youth to improve web security.

Rosnąca popularność mediów społecznościowych ma wpływ na bezpieczeństwo udostępnianych w nich danych osobowych. Najmłodsi użytkownicy są szczególnie narażeni na niebezpieczeństwa wynikające z nieumiejętnego korzystania z Internetu. Przedmiotem pracy jest bezpieczeństwo najmłodszych użytkowników mediów społecznościowych, a w szczególności ochrona ich prywatnych danych osobowych. Praca ma na celu stworzenie warsztatów dla dzieci i młodzieży służących poprawie bezpieczeństwa w sieci. Metoda analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa została wykorzystana do stworzenia rozdziałów teoretycznych, w których zostały zdefiniowane kluczowe pojęcia związane z bezpieczeństwem, danymi osobowymi oraz internetowymi mediami społecznościowymi. Rezultatem wykonanej pracy jest powstały w rozdziale trzecim projekt warsztatów, który jest propozycją rozwiązania problemu nieumiejętnego korzystania z Internetu przez najmłodszych użytkowników. Dzięki nim możliwe jest wzmocnienie kompetencji informacyjnych dzieci i młodzieży, oraz zniwelowanie niebezpieczeństw wynikających z luk informacyjnych związanych z bezpiecznym korzystaniem z sieci.

The growing popularity of social media has an impact on the security of personal data provided in them. The youngest users are particularly vulnerable to the dangers of unskillfull use of the Internet. The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the safety of the youngest users of social media, and in particular the protection of their private personal data. The aim of the thesis is to create workshops for children and youth to improve online safety. The method of literary analysis and criticism has been used to create theoretical chapters in which key concepts related to security, personal data and online social media have been defined. The result of the thesis is a Project of workshops, which is a proposition to solve the problem of unskilled use of the Internet by the youngest users. Thanks to them, it is possible to strengthen the information competences of children and youth, and to reduce the dangers arising from information gaps associated with the safe use of the network.
