Cultural Contestation of Hip-Hoppers in the City Ghettos of North America

Niniejsza praca poświęcona jest zbadaniu wpływu kontestacji kulturowej i szeroko rozumianego buntu ludzi “z marginesu społecznego” na rozwój kultowego gatunku muzyki hip - hop. Problematyka kontestacji staje się w tej pracy głównym fundamentem i osią, wokół której analizie poddano genezę gatunku, zachowania przedstawicieli subkultury hip-hopowej, a przede wszystkim teksty utworów, które stały się manifestem mieszkańców gett. Znaczącą część pracy poświęcono scharakteryzowaniu kontestacji, subkulturze, gettom - a także wynikającemu z nich tłu społecznemu i emocjom, które w tej pracy stanowią wartość szczególną.

This thesis is devoted to examining the influence of cultural contestation and broadly understood rebellion of people "on the margins of society" on the development of the cult genre of hip-hop music. The issue of contestation becomes the main foundation and axis around which the genesis of the genre, the behavior of representatives of the hip-hop subculture and, above all, the texts of the songs that became the manifesto of the ghetto inhabitants were analyzed. A significant part of the work is devoted to the characterization of contestations, subculture, ghettos - as well as the resulting social background and emotions, which constitute a special value in this work.
