The above thesis examines and analyzes the position and role of women within American society - from the very first feminist movements that occured in the 19th century to the present day. For a better understanding of the process of the evolution of feminism, the first chapter is devoted to the genesis of feminism, important causes and effects of this movement. This chapter consists of the four most important stages of the feminist movement, known as the waves. Each wave includes key events for its period, such as obtaining the law of self-determination, voting rights,or the phenomenon of #Me Too movement, as well as information about the most important figures who led each wave, such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton or Rebecca Walker. The second chapter focuses on the history of the First Ladies of the United States, particularly Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama, and their role in promoting and empowering girls and women in areas such as education, work, and politics, and the final outcome of their political agenda. This chapter also provides information on obstacles faced by the First Ladies, such as the Clinton-Lewinsky affair and skin color discrimination. The third chapter is dedicated to female individuals, such as Kamala Harris or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who through their activities in politics are known for being "first" and for breaking the so-called "glass ceiling". The third chapter analyzes their activities in social life and politics, and also takes into account events such as, for example, AOC's memorable speech to Rep. Yoho, which were the most influential in shaping the position of women in the twenty-first century.The above thesis presents the tedious process of women's evolution, as well as the gradual improvement of their influence on areas such as work, politics, and social life. While the situation of female citizens has improved significantly, and this is the logical outcome of nearly two hundred years of protests and fighting for rights, the current cricumstances and statistics show that the feminist movement is still evolving, and American society can expect great changes to come.

Drugi rozdział dotyczy historii Pierwszych Dam Stanów Zjednoczonych,szczególnie Hillary Clinton i Michelle Obamy, a także ich roli w promowaniu i umacnianiu dziewcząt i kobiet na płaszczyznach takich jak edukacja, praca czy polityka, a także ostateczny rezultat ich programu politycznego. W tym rozdziale można również znaleźć informacje na temat przeszkód, którym czoła stawiały Pierwsze Damy, takie jak Clinton-Lewinsky affair, czy dyskryminacja na tle koloru skóry.
