Motyw seryjnego zabójcy w wybranych filmach

The subject of the master’s thesis is the analysis of the serial killers motive in the cinematography of the 20th and 21st century on the example of Joe Berlinger’s „Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Evil”, Patty Jenkins’s „Monster”, Maciej Pieprzyca’s „Jestem mordercą”, Jonathan Demme’s „The Silcence of the Lambs” and David Fincher’s „Zodiac”. In the theoretical part, which will be an introduction to further analysis, the serial killer, mass killer and spree killer term will be discussed. What also will be discussed is the modus operandi term, particular typologies of the serial killers and psychological, sociological and psychiatric determinants of the killing. During talking chosen movies out the emphasis will be put on the way of picturing serial killer and the degree of the reflection of reality. The research on the opinions of the viewers will answear the questions, among others, if movies with the serial killers motive emphasize culpability of their criminal acts or otherwise, glorify them and why this matters is so willingly shown by the filmmakers.

Tematem pracy jest analiza motywu seryjnego zabójcy w kinematografii XX i XXI wieku na przykładzie filmów „Podły, okrutny, zły”, reż. Joe Berlinger, „Monster”, reż. Patty Jenkins, „Jestem mordercą”, reż. Maciej Pieprzyca, „American Psycho”, reż. Mary Harron, „Milczenie owiec”, reż. Jonathan Demme oraz „Zodiak”, reż. David Fincher. W części teoretycznej pracy, która stanowić będzie wprowadzenie do dalszych analiz, przybliżone zostanie pojęcie zabójcy seryjnego, masowego i spree killers. Przedstawione zostanie także pojęcie modus operandi, poszczególne typologie sprawców seryjnych zabójstw oraz determinanty psychologiczne, socjologiczne i psychiatryczne zabójstw. Podczas omawiania wybranych dzieł kinematografii szczególna uwaga zwrócona będzie na sposób ukazania seryjnego mordercy oraz stopień odwzorowania rzeczywistości. W przeprowadzonym kwestionariuszu ankiety respondentom zadane zostaną pytania między innymi o to, czy filmy przedstawiające seryjnych morderców podkreślają karygodność ich czynów bądź przeciwnie, gloryfikują ich oraz dlaczego tematyka ta jest chętnie podejmowana przez twórców filmów.
