Space book graphics in the Polish Peoples Republic

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza zwrotu ku inspirowanymi kosmosem formom i treściom w grafikach książkowych z gatunku fantastyki naukowej w PRL-u. Za ramy czasowe przyjęto lata 1956-1989. Przedmiotem badań są wybrane przykłady grafik mieszczących się na zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych stronach książek. Zbiór graficznych przykładów obejmuje publikacje wydawane samodzielnie oraz w ramach serii wydawniczych. Składają się one na literaturę beletrystyczną skierowaną do dorosłych, ale także młodych czytelników.

The aim of this study is to analyse the trend towards the forms and contents of science fiction inspired by the cosmos in the Polish People's Republic. The years 1956 to 1989 were used as a time frame. The subject of the study are selected examples of graphics that fit on the outside and inside pages of books. The collection of graphic examples includes publications that are published independently and as part of the book series. They form fiction literature aimed at adults, but also at young readers.
