Love and sexual relations in Soviet labor camps based on the analysis of selected works of female labor literature

In this thesis the problem of love and sexual relations in Soviet labor camps is analysed, based on Eugenia Ginzburg's works "Journey into the Whirlwind", "After the Liberation (1944-1956)" by Barbara Skarga and "Gray is the Color of Hope" by Irina Ratushinskaya. In the introduction, the reason for undertaking the research and the assumptions of the work are explained. In the theoretical part, the concepts of labor camp literature, gender, sexuality, women's prose, culture of remembrance, trauma theory and autobiography are discussed. The categories of consent, choice, proposal, violence, coercion, labor camp and legal love, homosexual love in a labor camp were used in the analysis.

Niniejsza praca dotyczy relacji miłosnych i seksualnych w radzieckich łagrach na podstawie analizy utworów Eugenii Ginzburg "Stromej Ściany", "Po wyzwoleniu (1944-1956)" Barbary Skargi i "Szarego, koloru nadziei" Iriny Ratuszyńskiej. We wstępie został wyjaśniony powód podjęcia się badań oraz założenia pracy. W części teoretycznej naświetlono pojęcia takie jak zjawisko literatury łagrowej, gender, seksualność, proza kobieca, krytyka pamięci, teoria traumy i autobiografizm. Analiza została przeprowadzona przy pomocy kategorii: zgody, wyboru, propozycji, przemocy, przymusu, miłości łagrowej oraz legalnej, miłości homoseksualnej w łagrze.
