Impact of the use of EU funds on the development of the municipality of Nowy Sącz in 2008 - 2022

The title of the bachelor's thesis is the impact of the use of EU funds on the development of the Nowy Sącz commune in 2008-2022. The author expresses his willingness to conduct a study on how EU funds are used in the commune and what impact they have on the inhabitants of the city of Nowy Sącz. The main hypothesis is that EU funds affect the development of the Nowy Sącz commune. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to check how the commune authorities implement EU funds and how they affect its development. While discussing the topic, the author focused on considering what local government units are, what tasks belong to the commune and what are EU funds. The work also includes a socio-economic description of the city as well as considerations on the strategies functioning in the years 2008 - 2022. The author decided to conduct quantitative research by conducting a survey among the inhabitants of the Nowy Sącz commune. Thanks to the results, it can be concluded that EU funds have a positive impact on the inhabitants of the commune, they also believe that EU funds are the basis for the continuous development of the city. Tematem pracy licencjackiej jest określenie wpływu wykorzystania środków unijnych na rozwój gminy Nowy Sącz w latach 2008-2022. Autor wyraża chęć przeprowadzenia badania na temat tego jak w gminie są spożytkowane fundusze unijne oraz jaki mają one wpływ na rozwój gminy i jakość życia mieszkańców miasta Nowy Sącz. Przed podjęciem badań założono hipotezę główną, mówiącą, iż środki unijne wpływają na rozwój gminy. Celem głównym pracy licencjackiej jest ocena wykorzystywania środków unijnych przez władze miasta, sprawdzenie w jaki sposób środki unijne wpływają na rozwój. Podczas omawiania tematu skupiono się na rozważaniu czym są jednostki samorządu terytorialnego, jakie zadania należą do gminy oraz czym są fundusze unijne. Praca zawiera także opis sytuacji społeczno – gospodarczej miasta jak również rozważania nad strategiami funkcjonującymi w latach 2008 – 2022. Autor zdecydował się na przeprowadzenie badań ilościowych poprzez przeprowadzenie ankiety wśród mieszkańców gminy Nowy Sącz. Dzięki wynikom można stwierdzić, iż środki unijne mają pozytywny wpływ na mieszkańców gminy, uważają oni także że środki unijne są podstawą do ciągłego rozwoju miasta. Założona wcześniej wcześniej hipoteza została zweryfikowana pozytywnie.
