Cultural tourism as a form of touristic activity in Tehran based on selected travel guides

This dissertation aims to present a relatively new form of tourism, called cultural tourism, in the context of Tehran. The work shows that the capital of Iran has many places of historical, natural, and religious value to offer tourists, as well as numerous museums and art galleries that may be of interest to visitors. The listed places have been described based on travel guides, as well as official websites of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran and Iranian tourist non-governmental organisations.The work has been divided into three chapters. The first briefly describes the phenomenon of cultural tourism, what it influences, and its importance in Iran. The second chapter introduces the history of Tehran, as well as its location and geographical and social conditions. The third chapter, divided into three subchapters, lists and describes selected tourist attractions. The first subchapter lists the architectural tourist values, the second the natural ones, and the third the museums and art galleries. The work ended with a summary.All Persian names and words mentioned in this work have been written in Polish transcription.

Celem tej pracy jest przedstawienie stosunkowo nowej formy turystyki, jaką jest turystyka kulturowa, w kontekście Teheranu i tego, co może on zaoferować odwiedzającym. W pracy ukazano, że stolica Iranu ma do zaoferowania turystom wiele miejsc o wartości historycznej, naturalnej i religijnej, a także liczne muzea i galerie sztuki, mogące zainteresować zwiedzających. Wymienione miejsca zostały opisane na podstawie przewodników turystycznych, a także oficjalnych stron internetowych Ministerstwa Dziedzictwa Kulturowego, Turystyki i Rękodzieła Iranu i irańskich, turystycznych organizacji pozarządowych. Praca została podzielona na trzy rozdziały. W pierwszym z nich opisane zostało po krótce zjawisko turystyki kulturowej, na co wpływa i jakie jest jej znaczenie w Iranie. W drugim rozdziale przybliżono nieco historię Teheranu, a także jego położenie i uwarunkowania geograficzno-społeczne. W trzecim rozdziale, podzielonym na trzy podrozdziały, wymieniono i opisano wybrane atrakcje turystyczne. W pierwszym podrozdziale wymienione zostały architektoniczne walory turystyczne, w drugim przyrodnicze, w trzecim zaś muzea i galerie sztuki. Praca zakończona została krótkim podsumowaniem. Wszystkie perskojęzyczne nazwy wspomniane w tej pracy zostały zapisane transkrypcją spolszczoną.
