Focusing more closely on two of her works, Pięćdziesiątka [Fifty] and Kroniki oporu i miłości [Chronicles of Resistance and Love], the text describes the way in which the author constructs her narratives by close observation of the behaviour, relationships and motivations of her female protagonists while at the same time controlling the conventions in which they have to be described. The stake of this intellectual challenge to herself and to her readers, is to come closer to reality, to show human choices and relationships without illusory embellishment, in their entanglement and complexity.
