W niniejszym artykule autorka wyrusza na poszukiwanie najważniejszych elementów stylu Proustowskiego w dwóch polskich przekładach "Albertine disparue". Analiza porównawcza pozwala wyróżnić dwie odmienne koncepcje przekładu: poszanowanie ‘litery’ (próba oddania stylu oryginału) (M. Żurowski) oraz pragnienie uzyskania tekstu brzmiącego naturalnie w języku docelowym (M. Tulli).
In the presented paper, the author is in search of the most important elements of Proust’s literary style in two available Polish translations of "Albertine disparue" (Albertine Gone). Two divergent trends in translation are identified in the comparative analysis: a deep respect of the ‘letter’ (M. Żurowski who appears to have reproduced the original style) and the desire to create a text that sounds natural in the target language (M. Tulli).
