Doświadczenie kruchości sensu w "Mdłościach" Jeana Paula Sartrea

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę analizy kluczowego problemu tytułowej powieści Jeana Paula Sartre'a przez pryzmat refleksji fenomenologicznej nad pojęciem "sen-su". Dzieło to odzwierciedla fascynację autora metodą filozoficzną zaproponowaną przez Edmunda Husserla, a zarazem wskazuje na zasadnicze przesunięcia, które dokonują się w Sartre'owskiej recepcji tej metody. W fenomenologii sens rzeczy, który zdefiniować można jako "bycie tym oto" danego obiektu, zostaje uznany za efekt pracy konstytucji transcendentalnej podmiotu. Klasyczna fenomenologia Husserla nie zadała jednak kluczowego pytania o sposób bycia podmiotu konstytuującego ów sens. Namysł nad egzystencją człowieka wiedzie do odkrycia podmiotu w jego kruchości, ujawniając tym samym kruchość ustanawianego przezeń sensu. Zaprezentowana analiza powieści Sartre'a skupia się na ukazaniu problemu sensu w trzech wymiarach: w stosunku głównego bohatera do świata rzeczy, innych ludzi i wreszcie - samego siebie. Prezentowana refleksja prowadzi do wyjaśnienia kluczowego w powieści doświadczenia "Mdłości".

Le présent article constitue un essai d'analyse d'un problème crucial pour le roman de Sartre à la lumière de la réflexion phénoménologique sur la notion de «sens». Cette oeuvre reflète la fascination de l'auteur pour la méthode philosophique proposée par Husserl, mais en même temps elle témoigne de certains changements visibles dans la réception sartrienne de ladite méthode. Dans la phénoménologie le sens d'une chose, qui se laisse définir comme «être tel et tel» de la chose, est découvert comme un effet du travail de la constitution transcendantale réalisée par le sujet. Pourtant, la phénoménologie classique de Husserl n'a pas posé la question cruciale de la ma-nière d'être du sujet constituant. La réflexion sur l'existence humaine mène à la dé-couverte du sujet dans sa fragilité, en dévoilant en même temps la fragilité du sens constitué. L'analyse du roman de Sartre est concentrée sur le problème phénoméno-logique du sens dans ses trois dimensions: dans la relation entre le héros principal et la réalité des choses, le héros et les autres et aussi le héros et lui-même. Enfin, la ré-flexion présentée conduit à l'éclaircissement de l'expérience de «la Nausée».

The present article is an attempt to analyze the crucial problem of the Sartre's novel from the perspective of phenomenological reflection on the concept of 'sense'. The work reflects the author's fascination with the philosophical approach proposed by Husserl, but at the same time it shows certain shifts visible in the Sartrian reception of the method. In phenomenology sense of an object, which may be defined as its 'to be such and such', is discovered as an effect of transcendental subject's constitutive activity. However, the classical phenomenological thought presented by Husserl did not pose the question about the subject's way of being. The reflection on the human existence discovers the subject in its fragility, discovering at the same time fragility of the constituted sense. The analysis of the Sartre's novel is focused on the presentation of the problem of 'sense' in its three dimensions: in the relations between the main character and objects, other subjects and also himself. Finally, the presented reflection leads to the explanation of the crucial experience of 'Nausea'.
