Between map and conversation : prolegomena to the theory of the Polish language curriculum at the time of changes

Jak w niedalekiej przyszłości będzie wyglądać nowe curriculum języka polskiego? Czy wróci do kategorii minimum programowego, jak pierwotnie określano podstawy programowe? W obliczu rozpoczynających się przemian polskiej oświaty nie sposób nie zapytać także o to, kto będzie odpowiedzialny za sformowanie nowego curriculum, w jakim stopniu będą je kształtować nauczyciele i uczniowie. Jeszcze bardziej fundamentalne pytania dotyczą redefinicji podstawowych celów nauczania polonistycznego, co niewątpliwie powinno mieć wpływ na zakres treści programowych w tym także na zestaw utworów literackich przeznaczonych do obowiązkowego szkolnego czytania i omawiania. Jak obszerny winien być literacki kanon edukacyjny, jak ustalić kryteria jego doboru? A może w ogóle odejść od tradycyjnej roli korpusu lektur obowiązkowych i jego obecności w podstawach programowych? W tekście, inspirowanym książką Davida Didaua, na temat edukacyjnej roli kanonu literackiego, podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na te pytania.

What will the new Polosh language curriculum look like in the near future? Will it return to the category of a minimal programme as the core curriculum used to be called? In the face of the changes in Polish education starting to take shape, one must also ask about who will be responsible for creating the new curriculum and to what extent will it be shaped by teachers and students. Even more fundamental questions concern the redefinition of the basic of teaching the Polish language, which should undoubtedly influence the content of the core curriculum, including the list of compulsory readings to be discussed. How long should it be and how should the readings be selected? Perhaps we should abandon the traditional role of compulsory readings list and its presence in the core curriculum altogether? This text on the educational role of the compulsory readings list, inspired by David Didau's book, attempts to answer all of these questions.
