Środowisko informacyjne tłumacza

Omówiono przebieg Międzynarodowej Konferencji Naukowej "Środowisko informacyjne tłumacza" zorganizowanej przez Instytut Studiów Informacyjnych UJ i Polskie Towarzystwo Tłumaczy Przysięgłych i Specjalistycznych TEPIS w partnerstwie z Katedrą Przekładoznawstwa działającą w ramach Instytutu Językoznawstwa i Hungarystyki UJ. Wydarzenie miało charakter bezprecedensowy, jako że nigdy wcześniej w Polsce ani na świecie nie pojawiła się idea zwołania wspólnej debaty łączącej przedstawicieli nauki o informacji, przekładoznawsta i czynnych tłumaczy, mimo że mają oni ewidentne wspólne obszary badań i działalności praktycznej.

The text relates the course of the International Conference "Information practices of interpreters and translators" organized by the Institute of Information Studies of the Jagiellonian University and the Polish Society of Sworn and Specialized Translators TEPIS in partnership with the Chair for Translation Studies operating within the Institute of Linguistics and Hungarian Studies of the Jagiellonian University. The event was unprecedented, as the idea of convening a joint debate combining representatives of information science, translation studies and active translators had never before appeared in Poland or in the world, despite the fact that they clearly have common areas of research and practical activity.
