Rola pierwszej damy Emine Erdoğan w kształtowaniu tureckiej polityki zagranicznej względem państw afrykańskich
Emine Erdoğan has held the position of First Lady since 2014 and has been involved socially in supporting Turkish policy directions set by her husband. Since the beginning of the Justice and Development Party government (2002), cooperation with countries on the African continent has been high on her list of goals. As first lady, Emine has been involved in projects to support women and children in Africa. She has written a book about her travels to the continent. Still, she chairs the African House of Culture Association in Ankara or organizes events for the spouses of world leaders to showcase the diversity of African countries and highlight Turkish support for them. The text aims to examine Emine Erdoğan’s involvement in Turkish policy toward African Countries and answer whether this involvement goes beyond representational and ceremonial functions.
