Zagadki dotyku (i spojrzenia) w "Cnotliwych" Elizy Orzeszkowej

Artykuł poświęcony jest analizie i interpretacji zmysłu dotyku we wczesnej powieści Elizy Orzeszkowej Cnotliwi. Dotyk stanowi tu zmysł o zabarwieniu emocjonalnym bądź intencjonalnym a w jego charakter wpisana jest siła oddziaływania: pozytywna bądź negatywna. W powieści Cnotliwi szczególnie ważny był dotyk o zabarwieniu fizjonomicznym, który wzbogacał informacje diagnostyczne na temat natury bohatera literackiego. Ze względu na satyryczną wymowę dzieła zdecydowanie więcej było złej taktylności, która wyróżniała grono małomiasteczkowej elity. Wśród wielu kategorii dotyku wyróżniono „dotyk na pokaz”, dotyk skrywany, dotyk honorowy, dotyk metaforyczno-metafizyczny oraz dotyk empatyczny.

This article is devoted to the analysis and interpretation of the sense of touch in the early novel The Virtuous by Eliza Orzeszkowa. Touch is used in emotional or intentional tones, and in its character is the force of interaction: positive or negative. In the novel The Virtuous, touch in a physiognomical context was particularly important, which added diagnostic information about the nature of the literary hero. Due to the satirical content of the work, there was definitely more badness in tangibility that distinguished the small-town elite. Among the many categories of touch are "touch for show", hidden touch, honourable touch, metaphorically-metaphysical touch, and empathic touch.
