The article discusses Józef Nyka's observations and suggestions and makes an analysis of the source data, which shed a new light on the interpretation of some toponymic and topographical details on the Tatra section of the map of the Spiš district by Franciszek Florian Czaki. The comparison was made between the Tatra sections of three maps of Spiš: by Paul Kray (1723), Czaki (1760 or 1762) and Giovanni Antonio Rizzi-Zannoni (1772). The interpretation of some topographical names has been modified.
