The paper, based on the author’s thesis, deals with the minor place-names found in the territory of four villages in the region of Central Bohemia. As a consequence of the interdisciplinary nature of this issue, the initial part of the article focuses on the geography, history and dialects of the area. The main section concentrates on the results of the research and analysis of the anoikonyms. Special attention is given to the anoikonyms which can be found almost exclusively in this area (for example those including lexical items BRAH, HEJK, SKALÍ, VASTRŽEJ), their language formation and the connection with the regional dialect.
