Zasady wyboru gatunków wskaźnikowych w ocenie ryzyka wpływu roślin zmodyfikowanych genetycznie na środowisko

Based on the actual discussions of the international expert committees (UE. EFSA, STEPKO), recent publications and opinions and recommendations expressed by the experts on environmental protection and the independent experts with a long experience, the integrated approach to ERA is presented. Special attention was given to selection of species and environmental functions used as indicators of potential unintended effect of GM plants on environment. Both approaches and methodologies of Hilbeck et al (2008) and EFSA (2010) are described. Relevance of results produced by the Polish primary projects (greenhouse and laboratory based and the field large experiment) on methods used in the environmental risk assessment (ERA), carried out in the Department of Applied Entomology SGGW in co-operation with other partners, was compared with the international recommendations.
