Ocena obecnego stanu zagrożenia gatunków z rodzaju Geastrum w Polsce
The paper presents 89 localities of 15 species of the genus Geastrum, observed by the authors in 1999-2010 within the area of Poland. All stands were characterized and the short descriptions of the species were given, together with the ecological and chorological remarks. Geastrum species are strictly protected fungi in Poland, they are also mentioned in the Red List of Fungi. The localities of relatively common earthstars (G. fimbriatum, G. quadrifidum; threat category ? R), the vulnerable ones (G. coronatum, G. pectinatum; category V) as well as the endangered species (G. corollinum, G. floriforme, G. fornicatum, G. melanocephalum, G. minimum, G. rufescens, G. schmidelii, G. striatum, G. triplex; category E) were described. Moreover, the stand of the species previously recognized to be extinct in Poland G. berkeleyi has been found. For all the earthstar species hitherto mentioned from the territory of Poland, new threat categories, consistent with IUCN guidelines were proposed.
