Comparative analysis of the composition of volatile oil of yellow - flowered yarrow Achillea ageratum L. and Achillea compacta Willd.

Spośród wielu żółtokwiatowych taksonów Achillea przeanalizowano pod wzglądem obecności i skladu olejek eteryczny dwóch gatunków zaliczanych do różnych sekcji - Achillea ageratum L. i Achillea compacta Willd. Wykazano różnice ilościowe i jakościowe otrzymanego olejku. W obu taksonach stwierdzono w badanej frakcji olejkowej przewagą 1,8-cyneolu (eukaliptolu). Do tej pory brak było danych piśmiennictwa na temat składu chemicznego olejku eterycznego w A. Compacta.

Among many yellow-flowered taxa of Achillea L., two species of different sections - A. ageratum and A. compacta - were analysed with respect to the presence and composition of volatile oil. The obtained oil differed qualitatively and quantitatively between the taxa. In both 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) prevailed in the studied fraction. Till now there are no literature data on the chemical composition of the volatile oil in A. compacta.
