Identyfikacja dominujacego polipeptydu VP60 krajowych izolatow wirusa pomoru krolikow [VHD]

The causative agent of viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD) was purified by CsCl and sucrose density gradient from the liver homogenates of rabbits infected with a strain isolated in Poland. Using SDS- PAGE and a western immunoblotting analysis we characterized domestic isolates of VHDV called the BLA and MAL strains and the laboratory isolates KGM and SGM. Our results indicated the presence of the prominent structural protein of 60 kD and other minor proteins, and they corresponded with the description made by other authors. The specific cross reaction between purified VHD isolates and different antisera was observed. The density of the viron was estimated as 1.31 to 1.34 g/cm. Due to the applied immunochemical techniques it was possible to identify the VHDV antigen and to give proof of identical immunological properties of different strains isolated in Poland in 1988-1994.
