Opisano nowy typ dymomierza pracującego w układzie kompensacji fotoelektrycznej, który przeznaczony jest do ciągłego pomiaru stopnia zadymienia spalin silnika Diesla.

Smoke-density meter based on photoelectric compensation system was designed for exact measuring the density of smoke in diesel engine exhaust gases. Indications of the instrument did not depend neither on the changes in light source intensity, soot sedimentation on glass panels of the meter, nor on the fluctuation of voltage supplying the measuring system and working temperature of photoelectric elements. The smoke meter supplied from vehicle's battery is much smaller and lighter than the other equipment of this kind and suits for road use.
