Chmiel dla piwowarstwa - trzeci rok deficytu w swiatowym bilansie alfa kwasow

The deficit in alpha acids occurring over three consecutive years on the world market and estimated at ca. 420 tons in 2006, 7 400 tons in 2007 and 860 tons in 2008 is presented in the paper. Some causes of the deficit in hop alpha acids e.g. production volume verging on the annual demand limit, impact of agroclimatic conditions on variability of cone yields and alpha acids content were indicated. It is expected that the 2008 harvest will meet the brewers' needs for hops with a possible surplus being used to rebuild the depleted operating reserves.

Przedstawiono utrzymujący się na światowym rynku statystyczny trzeci rok deficytu alfa kwasów, szacowanego na 2006 r. w ilości ok. 420 t, w 2007 r. ok. 1400 t i w 2008 r. w ilości ok. 860 t. Wskazano niektóre przyczyny deficytu alfa kwasów chmielu, np. produkcja blisko granicy rocznego zapotrzebowania,, wpływ warunków agroklimatycznych na zmienność plonu szyszek chmielu i zawartości alfa kwasów. Oczekuje się, że zbiory chmielu w 2008 r. zaspokoją zapotrzebowanie browarów na 2009 r., a ewentualna nadwyżka surowca chmielowego rozpocznie odbudowę zapasów magazynowych.
