Nowe dane o występowaniu Mesocoelopus niger (Ph.W.J. MÜLLER, 1821) w Polsce (Coleoptera: Ptinidae, Mesocoelopodinae)

Mesocoelopus niger (Ph.W.J. M ÜLLER ) was rarely recorded from the current territory of Poland. Historical data confirmed its occurrence from Silesia without more detail locality, Pomerania and Eastern Beskidy mountains. More recent records come from Lower and Upper Silesia. Taking into account broad distribution of that ptinid species in Germany its broader range of occurrence in Poland was expected. Here we present new faunistic data of M. niger from number of localities: Baltic Coast, Pomerania Lake District, Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland, Mazovian Lowland, Upper Silesia, Trzebnickie Hills and Eastern Sudeten Mountains. Numerous new localities prove that M. niger is much more common in Poland, and new locality data from Gdańsk and Warsaw show that M. niger is much more widely distributed.
