Life quality improvement as an objective for multifunctional development of rural areas

The author presents the problem of life quality improvement within the multifunctional development of rural areas, pointing out the general issue of life quality, additionally the question of sustainable development - strictly related to the former. Agricultural and environmental policy has also been mentioned together with life quality improvement. The following examples of multifunctional development have been discussed: utilisation of renewable non-food raw materials (poplar and willow) for energetistic purposes and herbs production.
