Infrastruktura transportu samochodowego barierą rozwoju Warszawskiego Obszaru Metropolitarnego?

Intensywny rozwój miast oraz motoryzacji, jaki obserwowany jest od kilkudziesięciu lat powoduje szereg problemów związanych z transportem miejskim. Zarówno UE, jak i państwa członkowskie starają się rozwiązać pojawiające się problemy. Problemy te są czasami na tyle poważne, że stanowią barierę rozwoju miasta lub całego obszaru metropolitarnego. W artykule dokonano krótkiej charakterystyki OMW. Zostały przedstawione obecne uwarunkowania rozwojowe OMW. Zarysowano również problemy transportowe, których usunięcie będzie stanowił istotny krok w kierunku rozwoju OMW. Artykuł wsparty został ilustracjami i mapami, które pomogły zilustrować przedstawiane informacje. Artykuł ten powstał w oparciu m.in. o badania i analizy prowadzone w pracy badawczej nr 6512/ITS realizowanej w Instytucie Transportu Samochodowego oraz materiały badawcze WAT i Mazowieckiego Biura Planowania Regionalnego w Warszawie.

Intensive development of cities and the automotive industry, which is observed for decades causes a number of problems related to urban transport. Both the EU and the Member States shall endeavor to resolve emerging issues. These problems are sometimes so severe that constitute a barrier to the development of the city or the entire metropolitan area. The article presents a brief characterization of the Warsaw Metropolitan Area. They were presented the current conditions of development WMA. Also outlines the transport problems, the removal of which will be an important step towards the development of the WMA Article was supported illustrations and maps that helped illustrate the presented information.
