Bezzałogowe statki powietrzne i ich zastosowanie w energetyce (cz. 1)

Artykuł omawia rzeczywiste i perspektywiczne możliwości zastosowań bezzałogowych statków powietrznych (dalej zwanych również dronami) w energetyce krajowej. Zaproponowano również potencjalnie nowe obszary wykorzystania dronów w aspekcie inspekcji i monitoringu infrastruktury energetycznej oraz wskazano na potencjalne zagrożenia wynikające z niewłaściwego ich zastosowania.

The paper presents the progress of applications in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, UAVs called drones. Particular attention was paid to practical use of drones in the field of monitoring and inspection in the field of broadly understood power sector supplemented by novel proposals for extending their use for processes for maintenance of power equipment and networks. Additionally, the paper describes potentially new application areas, as well as examples of threats to power industry facilities resulting from improper use of drones. The paper also tries to answer the question whether the current perception of UAVs can be changed by increasing the knowledge about their practical applications in non-military activities such as power industry and power engineering.
