Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie problemów związanych z transportem zwierząt rzeźnych oraz zwrócenie uwagi na specyficzny rodzaj ,,ładunku” jakim jest żywy organizm. Zaprezentowano również koncepcje równoważonego rozwoju w kontekście transportu zwierząt rzeźnych, która ma ogromne znaczenie nie tylko dla przyszłych pokoleń ale również dla funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw zajmujących się przewozem zwierząt.
