W artykule przedstawiono genezę problemu recyklingu wyeksploatowanych maszyn i urządzeń w końcowym okresie ich użytkowania w aspekcie liczb utylizowanych pojazdów w krajach Unii Europejskiej i Polsce. Scharakteryzowano systemy recyklingu pojazdów i maszyn w wybranych krajach Europy i USA w kontekście tworzonego systemu w Polsce. Wprowadzane instrumenty finansowe i uregulowania prawne mają stworzyć podstawy racjonalnego systemu recyklingu maszyn i pojazdów w naszym kraju.

The article presented the origin of the problem of exploited machines and devices in their ending period of usage in the aspect of the number of utilized vehicles in the countries of European Union and Poland. The system of vehicle and machine recycling was characterized in the chosen countries of Europe and the USA in the context of creating the system in Poland. The added financial instruments and the law settlements are supposed to create the basics of a rational recycling machine and vehicle system in our country.
