Theoretical and Experimental Investigation into the Friction Losses of Journal Bearings

The performances of journal bearing can be obtained from experimental investigations on the computerized test rig. The coupling of theoretical results with experimental ones gives the designer of journal bearing the possibility to choose the best bearing parameters that allow for the design of bearing with lower friction losses. This paper presents the experimental and theoretical investigations into friction losses of journal bearings.
