Modelling the Process of Tape Winding over a Tube with Controlled Tension

A method of modelling of the process of winding the tape over the tube with controlled tension is presented in this paper. The analysis of transitional periods, i.e. starting and braking of a winder was carried out. The considerations are illustrated by the presented results of the numerical calculations. The presented method of modelling of the process of winding can be used while designing the winders as well as in the systems managing their operation.
