The main subject of the accomplished research presented in the paper is to analyze the intermodal transport market development in Poland in the recent years. Simultaneously, its impact on Polish sea port container market has been taken into consideration, too. The principal objective is to evaluate the development of Polish intermodal market and to indicate the main tendencies existing there as well as infrastructural and regulatory barriers to its development. Author has tried to assess the effects of intermodal transport market development for Polish seaport container terminals’ operators as well, recommending initiatives and measures which are to be taken to increase their benefits from the still growing Polish intermodal transport market.
