Optimization of electricity and heat generation in large CHP plant equipped with a heat accumulator

The article presents the preparation and implementation of advisory software for controlling the accumulator's operation which were realized by Warsaw University of Technology and Transition Technologies S.A. at the Siekierki CHP Plant. The operation principles of the advisory software for controlling the operation of the largest heat accumulator in Poland that is installed in the biggest and most complex, concerning the technological system, CHP plant were described. The heat accumulator as well as the technological system of the plant were presented. The software operation results altogether with its efficiency evaluation were presented.
