The paper presents the historical background and final design concept of the railway concrete arch bridge WK11 in Gdańsk. Interesting architectural effect was achieved as a result of precise analysis of internal forces in the structure. General information, photographs and drawings are presented. A general description of the technical condition of the structure after 10 years of service is also included.
