Shaping a decorative concrete face for the renovation and modernization of buildings

In the article the possibilities of shaping the aesthetic concrete face of decorative and/or structural elements are presented. Based on the literature review, it is concluded that this is a promising field of application of architectural, self-compacting and fiber reinforced concretes. Elements with decorative faces can be used both in newly constructed buildings as well as during the renovation and modernization of existing, often historic buildings. The presented research program confirms that the concrete workability, strength, durability and aesthetic requirements intended for making a decorative lintel are fulfilled.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwość kształtowania estetycznego lica betonu elementów dekoracyjnych i/lub konstrukcyjnych. Na podstawie przeglądu literaturowego można stwierdzić, że jest to obiecująca przestrzeń do zastosowania betonów architektonicznych, samozagęszczalnych i z włóknami. Elementy z ozdobnie wykonanym licem mogą być wykorzystywane zarówno w nowo powstałych obiektach, jak i podczas renowacji oraz modernizacji już istniejących, często zabytkowych budynków. Przedstawiony program badawczy potwierdza spełnienie wymagań dotyczących urabialności, wytrzymałości, trwałości i pożądanej estetyki betonu przeznaczonego do wykonania ozdobnego nadproża.
