Uwarunkowania konfliktu zbrojnego w Afganistanie

Since September 11, 2001 the whole world have focused on Afghanistan. The man who challenged the United States, Osama bin Laden, and the initiator of terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon lives in hiding in this country. The problem of terrorism in the contemporary world is analysed in many press, radio and TV commentaries. This article, taking this very important problem into account, pays attention to the roots of today's threat. It is not accidental that Afghanistan was chosen the main seat of Al Qaeda. Today's events in Afghanistan are closely connected with the political crisis that took place during the Cold War between the USA and the USSR. Afghanistan is part of the Middle East.
