[...] Celem artykułu jest próba ukazania transportowych i pozatransportowych efektów rozwoju infrastruktury transportu w regionie. Do szczegółowej analizy posłużył przykład mostu Oresund, który niedawno obchodził dziesięciolecie swojego istnienia i stał się ważnym czynnikiem rozwoju regionalnego w Szwecji oraz Danii.
Infrastructure is a necessary condition but not only for the regulation of competitive advantage. Therefore, development of infrastructure should be correlated with other measures, so that brought on the basis of synergy principle the greatest effects. This concerns in particular: integrated planning, an active labor market policy, including reducing the bureaucracy, which should improve the mobility of the workforce, strengthening cooperation between enterprises, research institutions, etc. as well as the introduction of new solutions, excluding double taxation. The effects of transport infrastructure development can be divided into two groups. The first involves issues of transport and is related to the size of the carriage of passengers and people as well as the ability to offer transport services with higher quality parameters, the second is related to aspects of beyond transport. The main are associated with direct investment inflows in transport, a new way of getting to work, or increase the investment attractiveness of the land.
