Model systemu zarządzania informacją instytucjonalną dla szkoły wyższej

Celem artykułu jest udowodnienie poglądu, że biblioteki akademickie muszą sprostać zadaniom, jakie przyniosło zastosowanie badań 2.0 w nauce. Przeanalizowano przede wszystkim zagadnienia: rola społecznych instrumentów medialnych dla pracowników naukowych, natura zarządzania danymi badawczego i obsług danych badawczych, jakość danych i konieczność standaryzowania danych. Zadania postawione przed bibliotekami to zapewnianie obsług danych badawczych, dostosowanie swoich usług do poszczególnych użytkowników oraz wydziałów. Biblioteki akademickie powinny również włączać się w zadania, które nie są standardowymi zadaniami bibliotek uczelnianych, a które są realizowane w procesie badawczym.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a literature based inventory of tasks and roles that academic libraries have to fulfil in order to react to the developments brought in by the appearance and growing importance of Research 2.0, the main features of which are identified in its relationship to data-intensive research. The role of social media tools for researchers, the nature of research data management and research data services, questions of data quality and the need for standardized data citation are examined. The tasks, faced by libraries include providing research data services, information literacy education and support to individual faculty members. Libraries also should be involved in raising awareness of different services and movements, mainly not offered directly by the libraries themselves, even if this is a nontraditional activity for them. New role models for academic librarians, required by the new environment are also part of the discussion.
