Shape index of school buildings and energy consumption for heating

This paper aims at relating the energy (heating) consumption of the educational buildings with their shape. This is important information for the engineers and architects, who need information enabling them to find energetic and economic solution for energy consumption. The shape index A/V is defined as the ratio between the external surface and the cubature of building. Additionally, introduced shape index Oz/Pz to analysis. This paper presents selected graphical results of statistical analysis of 50 school buildings.
