Audit środowiskowy i certyfikacja systemów zarządzania środowiskiem

The presented paper explains the principles of audits and certification of environmental management systems according to ISO 14001 standards. In the environm ental m anagement systems, intemal audits allow above all to: - rate enterprise’s actual impact on environment, - estimate the efftciency of realization of set targets, - implement the required corrects to environmental policy. The purpose of management system certification is to reach the level that complies with ISO 14001 model. The conformity of management system structure with ISO model should be confmned by external experts who proveits compliance with assumptions. The evidences that prove the appropriate implementation of management system should mainly base on the analysis of correctness of procedures and efficicncy research of realized environmental targets.
