Analiza możliwości wykorzystania systemów satelitarnych w transporcie kolejowym

W artykule zostały przedstawione wybrane problemy związane z wdrażaniem rozwiązań bazujących na technologii satelitarnej w transporcie kolejowym. Przeprowadzono analizę struktury i funkcji systemu SOTM. Następnie przedstawiono możliwe obszary wykorzystania tego systemu satelitarnego na potrzeby wspomagania transportu kolejowego. Zwrócono uwagę na możliwości zastosowania satelitarnych systemów w zakresie modernizacja i budowa linii kolejowych, informacje dla pasażerów, zarządzania taborem i ładunkami oraz zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa transportu kolejowego.

The article presents selected problems related to the implementation of solutions based on satellite technology in rail transport. An analysis of the structure and function SOTM system. Then it presents possible areas of use of the satellite system to support the needs of rail transport. It drew attention to the possibility of using satellite systems in the field of modernization and construction of railway lines, passenger information, fleet management and cargo and to ensure the security of rail transport.
