Rozwój hodowli alpak w Polsce jako nowy kierunek aktywizacji gospodarczej środowisk wiejskich

This paper presents actual state of the polish flock breed and the lack of perspectives in its development. At present the alternative solution of the sheep breeding is the alpacas breeding. Simulation calculations which include the costs and profits resulting from starting with alpaca breeding have been given. It results from carried-out analysis of the profitability of sheep and alpacas breeding that the sheep breeding gives the loses but alpacas breeding the large incomes. The end party of this paper introduces the basic knowledge on the alpaca breeding for the future breeder before he decides properly on such investment.
