The role of non-stationary blade row interactions in turbomachinery aerodynamics
The bladerow interactions contain variety of forms related to potential and viscous mechanisms which affect the behaviour of flowfield. All these phenomena exert a distinct influence upon the efficiency and energy losses of flowpath through the blading. Therefore this subject has been a matter of intense research which revealed new phenomena related to the behaviour of boundary layer on blade profiles. In particular a new 1-t transition mechanism has been found which is now known as "wake-induced transition" and seems to be responsible for the change of boundary layer structure and the intensity of beat exchange on the blade surface.
