Współczesne formy walki informacyjnej

In the times when the computer network system, Internet was designed and created, nobody even suspected that it could become an ideal tool for computer hackers. Hackers, so people breaking into people’s or institutions computers, have been acting more and more often. Up to now, few people in our country have been aware of the real danger. This threat has been growing together with the development of computers and it is particularly dangerous for the Communication and Computer System of the Polish Armed Forces while implementing INTER-MON, MIL-WAN, and SEC-WAN networks. The development of communication and computer technologies is the reason that information warfare forms, Cyberwar and Hackerwar gain more and more importance. The notion of information warfare appeared recently and until 1996 it had not been defined. A factual attempt to describe this new area of military science and practice has been presented in the paper.
