The development of measurement methods in application to unsteady work parameters of a turbocharger
The article describes the methods of measurements of instantaneous flow parameters (pressure, temperature, mass flow rate, velocity) in the compressor and turbine circuits of a turbocharger. Two test rigs are described: Garrett T3 test in St Cyr l'Ecole (France) with a disctype pulse generator and Garrett T2 test rig in Łódź , with a rotating valve type generator and a heater placed upstream of the turbine tested. The results of measurements obtained in these two arrangements are compared and possibilities of further development of applied methods are discussed.
