In the paper theoretical analysis regarding workplace stress are provided. Wide range and universality of this phenomena is emphasized. Essence and course of stress reaction are presented. The factors determining workplace stress, organizational as well as personality, are discussed. Negative consequences of workplace stress on employees health are analyzed.
