Postęp technologiczny umożliwia wdrażanie nowych, lepszych i wydajniejszych źródeł energii. Wraz z wprowadzaniem nowych baterii i koniecznością transportowania ich wprowadza się do łańcuchów logistycznych nowe materiały niebezpieczne. Wiąże się to z generowaniem nowych zagrożeń, które wymuszają podjęcie właściwych środków zaradczych. Przykładem takich nowych zagrożeń w transporcie lotniczym są baterie litowe, które doprowadziły już do katastrofy lotniczej. W celu ograniczenia zagrożeń generowanych przez baterie litowe w transporcie lotniczym wprowadzone zostały przepisy regulujące zasady ich transportu. W artykule przedstawione zostały obecnie obowiązujące przepisy oraz planowane zmiany, jakie zostaną w nich wprowadzone w najbliższych latach.

Technological progress enables the implementation of new, better and more efficient sources of energy. With the introduction of new batteries and the need to transport them, new hazardous materials are introduced into the logistic chains. This involves the generation of new threats which force appropriate corrective measures. An example of such new threats in air transport are the lithium batteries that have already led to the plane crash. In order to limit the hazards of lithium batteries in air transport, regulations governing their transport are introduced. The article presents current regulations and planned changes to be introduced in the coming years.
