Terroryzm XXI wieku : nowe zagrożenie dla bezpieczeństwa

Terrorists attacks of September 11, 2001 caused a new approach towards the problem of terrorism and fighting against it. The attack of international terrorism onto New York and Washington was called a war that was waged against the whole free world. The author points out in the article to these factors that allow proving this thesis. He discusses probable effects of such attacks on the stability of power in a state. He refers to the sources of terrorism presented by Islamic fundamentalists and shows that the September 11 events were planned and purposely arranged to engage the United States in war which it would supposedly lose. The probability to continue attacks by terrorist organisations using mass destruction weapons has been mentioned in the article. In the conclusion the author points out to the need of constant necessity to counteract and fight against terrorism and, in particular, to create rational solutions for effective fight against terrorism in Poland.
