Architectural creations – visualization and realism

The article deals with modern methods of presenting architectural objects - computer visualisations, understood as realistic presentations of projects developed with the use of computer aided design programs, such as CAD and BIM. Based on literature research, the author analyses the spatial assumptions of visualizations presenting the reconstruction of the railroad station in Katowice and the construction of the Katowice System of Integrated Interchanges. The conducted analysis is the basis for outlining the issues related to the realism of visualizations of designed architectural objects. The purpose of the study is to isolate the characteristics of realistic visualizations, in the context of the perception of the space of a given place by the user of that space.

Artykuł dotyczy współczesnych metod przedstawiania obiektów architektonicznych – wizualizacji komputerowych, rozumianych jako realistyczne prezentacje projektów opracowanych z wykorzystaniem programów komputerowych wspomagających projektowanie, typu CAD i BIM. Autorka w oparciu o badania literaturowe przeprowadza analizę założeń przestrzennych wizualizacji prezentujących przebudowę dworca kolejowego w Katowicach oraz budowę katowickiego Systemu Zintegrowanych Węzłów Przesiadkowych. Przeprowadzona analiza stanowi podstawę do nakreślenia problematyki związanej z realistycznością wizualizacji projektowanych obiektów architektonicznych. Celem pracy jest wyodrębnienie cech wizualizacji realistycznych, w kontekście percepcji przestrzeni danego miejsca przez użytkownika tejże przestrzeni.
