Jednym z najważniejszych działów rolnictwa jest produkcja zwierzęca. Jej znaczenie wynika z możliwości uzyskania od zwierząt różnorodnych surowców, wśród których dominuje mięso. Integralnym elementem chowu zwierząt jest powstawanie odchodów na terenie gospodarstwa. Z tego względu należy prowadzić działania mające na celu nie tylko ograniczenie możliwości ich negatywnego wpływu na środowisko, ale także zadbać o wykorzystanie ich potencjału nawozowego.

Animal production is considered to be one of the most important sectors in agriculture. This is due to the fact that there is a number of animal products that can be obtained from animal feedstock. Animal husbandry - as an integral element of animal production - generates significant quantities of livestock manure that can have negative impacts on the environment. Therefore, there is a need to undertake actions that would allow reduction of negative impacts and use of livestock manure as a fertilizer.
